Have you applied to El Camino College For Fall 2023?*

You must submit a NEW application for Fall 2023 even if you previously applied or attended classes through dual enrollment. Students who take classes at El Camino College while still in high school will need to submit a new admissions application for fall 2023 regardless if you have an ECC ID number.

Please note that if you applied before October 1st, 2022, your application will not be valid for Fall 2023. You must submit a NEW El Camino College Application for Fall 2023. If you previously applied for concurrent enrollment, you must also submit a new ECC application for Fall 2023. Please make sure to have your El Camino College student ID number ready. Your FYE application will not be processed without an ECC ID. A High School ID number is not a valid ECC ID.

If you have not yet applied to El Camino College please make sure to complete that step first. Your interest form will not be processed without an El Camino College Student ID number. You can apply to ECC by going to: http://www.elcamino.edu/apply/

After you have received your student ID number you may return to complete the FYE interest form. You can find your 7-digit ECC ID number in your email inbox (this is different than the confirmation number). It takes 1-2 business days for ECC to process your application and send you an ID number.

Please note that only students that are part of the HS graduating class of 2023 or 2022 and took a gap year, are eligible to apply.

To be eligible for the First Year Experience Program you must be part of the High School graduating class of 2023. If you have any questions regarding this requirement or you took a GAP year please contact the program coordinator, Dr. Cynthia Mosqueda, at cmosqueda@elcamino.edu to further discuss your participation.

Please note that if you graduated in 2022, you are only eligible if you have not attended another college or university and must not have any college courses completed. If you took a gap year after high school graduation you are eligible to join.

Cohort programs have a higher success during the first year of college than stand alone classes.

FYE at its heart is a cohort model program. This means that during the first year of your college education you will take half of your classes with a cohort (or group) of students. Together you will transition from fall to spring semester, thus having established a bond with fellow peers as well as with your FYE instructors, counselors and support staff. By selecting "No" you are not eligible to join the First Year Experience Program. To join you must be able to commit to being part of a cohort (which is a 1-year commitment).
