ADD/DROP CARD

All communication will be through your El Camino email address (__________@elcamino.edu)

Important Notice: You will not be permitted to add a class once the "Last Day to Add" has passed.

If you need assistance contact Admissions & Records (A&R) prior to the deadline

An A&R Technician will contact you via your El Camino email address once your add/drop is processed.  Please save the email for your records.

NOTE: You do not need to submit this form if you have already added your class via MyECC.

Please only submit your request once. Submitting your request multiple times will delay the process for everyone.

Student Responsibilities:

  • Make sure the class is officially added.  The instructor cannot add students to the classes
  • Be prepared to pay for your class at the time you add; Financial Aid/CA Promise Grant recipients may still owe fees
  • You need to know the last day to add for each class (Deadlines can vary depending on when the class is offered)
  • If you do not want to take a class you have enrolled or placed yourself on the waitlist you must drop the class prior to the drop deadline to avoid being charged for the class and receiving a grade.  Do not assume the instructor will drop you.
  • Review your schedule after your add and/or drop is processed to ensure you are in the correct classes or the correct class was removed from your schedule.  Respond to the email if there is an error or omissions.  The A&R Technician will gladly assist you. 
  • You cannot continue to attend a class that you are not officially enrolled in (If you get an add code use it right away.  If you need assistance come to A&R prior to to the deadline

Students are advised NOT to purchase textbooks/materials for a class that does not appear on your registration statement.  Textbooks and class materials may not be 100% refundable after purchase.

The deadline to add 16 week and first 8 week classes for Spring 2024 has passed. Requests to add these classes will not be approved. Classes for the second 8 week session that begin in April may still be added.  Please look for a late starting class to enroll in. 


El Camino College will be closed starting 5:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2023 and will reopen for business at 8:00 am Tuesday, January 2 2024. Forms submitted during this time will not be processed until the office reopens. The standard processing time for your form will start from when we reopen.

The deadline to add Winter Session classes has passed. Requests to add these classes will not be approved. 


Instructor permission is required to register for 16-week and first 8-week Spring 2024 classes at this time. Please obtain instructor permission and attempt to add the class again through MyECC. If upon gaining permission from the instructor you are still unable to register then please submit a new add form.
