Unit Overload Petition

The maximum program for a Spring or Fall semester is 18 units without a physical education class and 19 units with a physical education class. The maximum program for a Winter term is seven units. The maximum program of study for a Summer term is 10 if at least one of the units is a physical education class. A student wishing to take more than the maximum units may file a petition. It will be reviewed by a counselor in the Counseling Services Division. Students should have completed at least 15 transferable units in one semester with a 2.75 GPA and an overall GPA of 2.5 to be eligible for overload.
